Handycards serial
It is important to recognize that this list can be empty even after a study file has been transferred to your PalmOS device. This is due to the PalmOS not having a built-in Explorer-type program. Consequently, the first time you open a HandyCards study file which you have transferred from your PC, you will need to enter the file name manually, as depicted below, and then press the "Ok" button to load the file.
Also, please note that even if the list isn't empty, a newly-transferred file will not appear on the list until it has been opened once. To open a file which is listed in the File List window, simply select its name and then press the "Ok" button. After a file has been opened from within HandyCards, HandyCards will store the file name and will subsequently display all stored file names in the File List window.
Note that these example screenshots show the filename as SampleData. Step 3: "Cleaning" the converted Study File. The last step in our transfer process is to "clean" the study file once it has been transferred to the PalmOS device. The "cleaning" process is a simple, one-time event which is accomplished from within HandyCards on your PalmOS device.
Please note that this step is only required for study files converted on a desktop or laptop computer. Study files created within HandyCards itself do not need to be cleaned. Be sure not to skip this step or your study file may not behave correctly when used in study mode.

The switching of the question and answer also affects testing in the multiple-choice portion of HandyCards.
Selecting this option makes no changes to the original data file. Changes are only made to the data running in the program. Full-Screen mode refers to only having either the question or answer on the screen at one time, but never both.
Split-Screen mode refers to having both question and answer windows visible on the screen at the same time. Use this window to combine either two or three data files into single data file. Data file two is appended to the end of data file one and data file three is appended to the end of data file two. When the box above a file's name is checked, that file is overwritten with the merged data file.
Otherwise, if you choose to not overwrite a data file, you must enter a file name in the "Destination File" field on the bottom of the screen. Search Questions and Answers. This option sets whether the question, the answer, or both are searched using your search text. This option sets whether all question and answer sets are searched, regardless of whether or not they have been remove; if only non-removed questions and answer sets are searched; or if only removed question and answer sets are searched.
This option sets whether questions and answer pairs that contain the search text are either included or removed. This option set determines whether the search considers the case of the search text and the question and answer set. Choosing IGNORE will set the search to look for any instance of the search text, regardless of the case of the search text or question and answer set.
RESET button Press this button to set all options to their default values and clear the search text field. GO TO button This box indicates the question number of the current question. This question number is based on the order in the original data file and is not based on the randomized order of the testing session.
DUPLIC button Use this button if you want to search through your current set of questions and answers for duplicate questions and duplicate answers. You will only be notified if there are duplicates. Please note that if you have hundreds of questions loaded, this search may take one to two minutes, depending on the processor in your handheld device.
SAVE button Press this button to store any modifications you have made to the current question and answer pair. If you are creating a new file, you will be prompted for the new file's name. FIND button After entering search text in the box next to the FIND button, press this button to search through your questions and answers for the desired text. Searching begins with the question following the current question and does not start from the first question.
Searching then proceeds sequentially through the questions in the order they are presented in the data file, not in the randomized order in the testing window. When the search text is found, the current question and answer pair is replaced with the question and answer pair that contains the desired text. Pressing the FIND button again will then search for the next question and answer pair that contains the desired text. If the search item is not found, you will be asked if you would like to search again from the beginning of the questions.
Under most circumstances, you will not want to install HandyCards into main storage memory and, instead, will want to install onto your storage card. If you do want to install onto your storage card, press the "No" button to indicate you do not want to install into the "default application install directory.
After the installation has concluded from your desktop computer, you will see this final message. You should next check your handheld to finalize the installation. Your handheld may show a window entitled "Confirm File Replace" and will ask if you want to replace system files.
You do not have to replace your system files, but replacing those files ensures having versions known to work with HandyCards. This concludes the installation of HandyCards onto your Windows Mobile handheld device.
